Shift Auto Group Supports Launch of Project Zero and Neighbourly Homes with $750,000 Donation

Today, Shift Auto Group proudly announced a $750,000 donation to 12 Neighbours, a local registered charity based in Fredericton whose mission is to achieve lasting transformation in reducing poverty and homelessness. The donation was made in support of their bold new initiative: Project Zero and Neighbourly Homes. This collaborative project is committed to eliminating chronic homelessness in Fredericton and inspiring communities throughout the Maritimes to take similar action.

The announcement was made during a press conference this morning alongside key community partners: Marcel and Sheila LeBrun, Mayor Kate and the City of Fredericton, and the Government of New Brunswick. Together, these partners (and more) are working to launch Neighbourly Homes—a fully managed transitional housing service that supports individuals on their journey from homelessness to stability and independence.

"It's going to take more than Marcel and Sheila and this awesome crew behind us to get this done, so I really would encourage others to come stand beside us. That would really help fuel this incredible plan. This is the beginning of us making Fredericton, and hopefully all of New Brunswick, a model that communities all over the country can look at as an example to completely eliminate chronic homelessness." – Dave O’Leary, CEO, Shift Auto Group
